Why I'm Stepping Forward

It's our country. It's our government. And it's our responsibility to decide what kind of future we're going to leave behind.

I'm not running because I believe I'm better than anybody else. I'm stepping forward because I believe we can do better, that we have more in common than we think, and that the next generation deserves us to try.

I believe government should answer to the people, not expect the people to blindly accept whatever government decides.

You don't have to agree with me on everything. You don't have to belong to a particular political party. But you deserve a voice, you deserve transparency, and you deserve to understand how decisions made today could affect your future.

Let's find our common ground. Let's hold ourselves accountable. And let's make sure the next generation inherits something better than the problems we were willing to leave them.
